On Saturday, March 31st Grace Church will be hosting their usual 5th Saturday Neighborhood Brunch. Because it’s the day before Easter, a special guest, E. Bunny, will tell the real first Easter story. Coloring and activity books depicting the event will be distributed to all children who attend the Brunch.
We hope you’ll help spread the word and encourage your neighbors to attend and bring their children and grandchildren to the Parish Hall from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
These brunches are rewarding experiences! Not only because of the people who are fed, but because of the relationships that are formed through the warm conversations we share.
We will need shoppers, cooks, servers, set-up & clean-up crews, and lots of welcoming hosts. Volunteer cards are in the pews. Please fill one out and drop it in the basket on the information table. Join us in making this another great success!
The Grace Community
During the year, we “bring” Grace Church to our neighbors at The Grace Community. Barbara & Bert Nye are at The Harbor each 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday at 2:00 PM. If you would like to join the services, please come! These visits mean so much to the residents.
Bingo at The Harbor: Bert and Barbara Nye volunteer at the memory care unit each Tuesday from 9:30 to 11:00 am to play bingo with the residents. To join in assisting in the game call them at (434) 985-2402.
Our Local Food Bank again thanks the parishioners of Grace Church for their abundant donations. All items are greatly appreciated and at this time, they are low on dry cereal and cereal bars. It has come to our attention that the Food Bank is unable to distribute any items that have expired use-by dates. Please check that your donations have dates at least one month away.
